OnePlus has picked up popularity like wildfire since its initial launch in December 2013. The major reason for this is because OnePlus phones are priced affordably but do not compromise on quality and features. Seems like trendy features and a cost-effective price tag is the perfect recipe to attract students.
I am a techy person so I like to notice smartphones around me. Having lived in Manipal, I have noticed so many OnePlus phones, that I was actually surprised. Almost every other phone I used to notice was OnePlus. So, how did OnePlus pull this off?
OnePlus and Snapdragon
OnePlus has always put the latest snapdragon processor in their phones. This means that their phones are extremely fast and efficient. Students generally like to play games on their phones. With the latest processor, they can play any game they want at maximum graphics. This attracts a lot of students because otherwise if they wanted to play games at high graphics, they would have to buy an expensive phone. Apart from gaming, students can easily multitask between apps like WhatsApp, email, Facebook, etc. without any lag on OnePlus phones.
OnePlus’s big displays
Almost all students with their phones to have a big display. But just putting a big display is not ideal, the display should be big but not too big. OnePlus started off with a 5.5inch display in OnePlus One and today in 2019 their phones have displays larger than 6.4inches. All this without increasing the size of the phone much! Impressive right?
A big display means one can enjoy multimedia like YouTube, Netflix, or games on the go. On top of that, OnePlus uses OLED displays. OLED displays are found only in expensive premium phones mostly. These displays have high contrast and punchy colors. I have used OnePlus 6 for 1 year and I can say that its display is amazing.
OnePlus Dash Charge
Only a student knows the frustration of waking up late and reaching class with a low battery. With OnePlus phones, that never happens. Even if you plug the phone in 25-30 min before you leave, the phone charges almost 35-40%. That is all thanks to Dash Charge, a proprietary solution developed by OnePlus.
I can vouch for Dash Charge myself. It is a super useful feature for students. It is so satisfying to plug in your phone for a few minutes and have so much battery. Coming from 5W slow charging of iPhone, this is heaven!
